The servants' course begins a new year
Three years of dogma, apologetics, church history and teaching method — and at the end of it, responsibility for a Sunday school class.
For more than ten years the servants' course has been a fixture of the Coptic Church in Austria. It is for young adults, meets weekly in the church, and runs for three years.
The curriculum includes:
Dogma, apologetics, church history and patrology.
Bible study, a panorama of scripture, and biblical geography.
The craft of service, presentation method and leadership.
Graduates go on to lead Sunday school classes, to look after youth groups, or to put what they have learnt into practice on the Efnoti Neman mission in Egypt.
